About Us

Born out of a desire to eat healthy, locally grown vegetables, we started our small vegetable farm on our family lands in Brittas, Co. Dublin. Our primary interest is in growing baby and specialty vegetables, specifically rainbow carrots, candy beets and tenderstem broccoli.

Our farm

Our history

Our family moved back from the West Indies to Brittas, Co. Dublin in the 1970s. Over the years, the family land expanded to 8 acres and 40 years later, we started our farm on these lands growing speciality, baby vegetables for the Dublin market.

Our farm started as a small garden growing over 20 varieties of herbs and vegetables but in recent times, the footprint of the farm has expanded while the number of crops has become more specialised. We now focus primarily on 3 crops; rainbow carrots, candy beets and tenderstem broccoli.

Our location

Our farm is optimally located on the fringes of Dublin city between the small villages of Saggart and Brittas in the townland of Glenaraneen. The townland name along with our committment to organic production inspired the name, Glenaragreen.

Dublin is the top vegetable producing county in Ireland due to its favourable climate and soils and our prime location affords us the opportunity of supplying the local market with exceptionally fresh vegetables with virtually no food miles attached.

Our ethos

Our core philosophy is to provide the Dublin market with healthy, organic, hand-picked, seasonal baby vegetables. We also believe it is essential to preserve and enhance the agricultural heritage and biodiversity of the local area.

Offering vegetables with a solid local provenance, benefiting the local environment and community is of great importance to us. We ensure our inputs, from the soil and water to our choice of seed, are of the highest quality.
